If the DWe pads are not recognized
If your DWe pads are not recognized even when you connect the DrumLink hub to which they are already paired, follow the steps below.
- Select [MENU] Ó “SYSTEM”.
- Use the cursor [à] [á] [ã] [â] buttons to select “PAD/TRIG IN” and press the [ENTER] button.
- The PAD / TRIG IN screen appears.
- Press the [F6] (DrumLink) button and then press the [F1] (HUB) button.
- The DrumLink - HUB screen appears.
- Press the [F6] (DrumLink) button.
MEMO
If the [F6] (DrumLink) button is not shown, you can make it appear by moving the cursor to the parameters (such as RF Channel) on the left side of the screen.
- Press the [F6] (DrumLink) button again to turn DrumLink on.
- If the pads are still not recognized after you do this, disconnect the SPD-SX PRO from the DrumLink™ hub and try connecting them again.
Unpairing the SPD-SX PRO and DWe pads (unpairing)
Here’s how to unpair the SPD-SX PRO from the DWe pads.
- Select [MENU] Ó “SYSTEM”.
- Use the cursor [à] [á] [ã] [â] buttons to select “PAD/TRIG IN” and press the [ENTER] button.
- The PAD / TRIG IN screen appears.
- Press the [F6] (DrumLink) button.
- The DrumLink screen appears.
- Press one of the [F2] (BASIC)–[F4] (OPT/ADV) buttons.
- Press the [F5] (TOOLS) button to display the TOOLS window.
- Strike to select the DWe pad that you want to unpair.
- You can also select a pad by pressing the cursor [ã] and [â] buttons while holding down the [ENTER] button.
- Example: when DWe snare is selected
- Use the cursor [à] [á] [ã] [â] buttons to select “UN-PAIR”, and press the [ENTER] button.
- Use the cursor [à] [á] [ã] [â] buttons to select “OK”, and press the [ENTER] button.
- After the message appears, strike the selected pad to unpair it.
MEMO
When the cursor is on a paired DWe pad in the DrumLink - HUB screen, you can also unpair the DWe pad by pressing [F6] (UNPAIR) while holding down the [SHIFT] button.
Checking the remaining battery power
You can check the remaining battery power for each pad from the Drumlink - TRIGGER BASIC tab, the DrumLink - TRIGGER CURVE tab, and the DrumLink - TRIGGER OPTIONS/ADVANCED tab.
When you strike a pad, its built-in LED lights up.
If the pad LED does not light up even after you strike the pad, replace the batteries.
NOTE
- Use AA-size alkaline batteries.
- The fluid in the batteries may leak if the remaining battery level gets too low. Replace the batteries as soon as possible.
- Remove the batteries from the pads when you are not using the pads for an extended period of time.
Updating the firmware for the DWe DrumLink hub and for each pad
To update the firmware for the DWe DrumLink hub and for the pads, connect the DWe to your computer and use the DWe Control application.
