Loading an SPD-SX backup file (LOAD SPD-SX)

This converts any kit from the SPD-SX backup data and loads it into the SPD-SX PRO.

 

Saving the loaded data (operations on the SPD-SX)

  1. On the SPD-SX, execute SAVE (USB MEMORY).
  2. Select MENU Ó UTILITY Ó SAVE (USB MEM).
  3. Use the cursor [à] [á] buttons to select “ALL” and press the [ENTER] button.
  4. NOTE

    Backup files saved with “KIT+SETTINGS” cannot be loaded into the SPD-SX PRO. Be sure to save as “ALL”.

  5. Use the cursor [à] [á] buttons to select the save destination, and press the [ENTER] button.
  6. Add a name as needed.
  7. Press the [ENTER] button.
  8. A confirmation message appears.
  9. If you decide to cancel the operation, press the [EXIT] button.
  10. Press the [ENTER] button.

 

Loading the saved data (operations on the SPD-SX PRO)

  1. Connect the USB flash drive containing the backup data of the SPD-SX to the USB port of the SPD-SX PRO.
  2. Save destination for backup data
  3. Select the [MENU] button Ó “BACKUP” Ó “LOAD SPD-SX” in that order, and press the [ENTER] button.
  4. Select the SPD-SX backup file that includes the kit(s) you wish to load.
  5. Select the check boxes of the kits to load.
  6. Function

    Explanation

    [F1] (CHECK)

    Selects/deselects the selected kits.

    [F2] (CHECK ALL)

    Selects/deselects all of the kits.

  7. Use the [-] [+] buttons or the dial to select the load destination, and press the [F6] (LOAD) button.
  8. On the confirmation message, select “OK”, and press the [ENTER] button.
  9. The following screen is shown once loading is completed.
  10. NOTE

    1. If the SPD-SX backup data includes WAV files that are extremely short or that are longer than 60 minutes, these WAV files are not loaded into the SPD-SX PRO.
    2. Parameters such as for effects or for output routing cannot be loaded (this is due to the difference in specifications between the SPD-SX and the SPD-SX PRO).
    3. Parameters such as volume which use different units respectively for the SPD-SX and SPD-SX PRO are automatically converted to the optimum values. Adjust the values after loading if they are not to your liking.
  11. Press the [ENTER] button to finish.
