Performing different tones with the left and right hands (Split)
The keyboard can be split into left and right zones, with each playing a different tone.
This gives you more expressive options, as you can play a bass tone with your left hand and a piano tone with your right hand, for instance.
- When in split play, the pedals connected to either the Pedal 1 or Pedal 2 jacks only affect the tone on the right side of the keyboard.
Changing the tone on the left side
- Press the key (C5–A5) corresponding to the number of the variation you want, while holding down the [Split] button and the tone button.
- The C5–A5 keys work as numeric keys.
Normally, the tone button for the right side lights up, but the tone button for the left side lights up while the [Split] button is pressed.
Changing the tone on the right side
- Follow the same steps as shown in “Selecting a tone”.
Changing where the keyboard zones are divided (split point)
- Press the key where you want to separate the tones, while holding down the [Split] button.
- This splits the keyboard into two zones, with the key you pressed as the split point. (The split point key is included in the left zone.)
