DC IN jack
Connect the included AC adaptor to this jack.
- Place the AC adaptor so the side with the indicator faces upwards. The indicator will light when you plug the AC adaptor into an AC outlet.
USB Mobile/PC port (USB Type-C®)
By connecting the included USB cable to your smartphone or computer, you can play along with songs, record and edit music.
Your smartphone or tablet also recharges while it is being used.
- The included USB cable cannot be used to connect to mobile devices with a Lightning connector or a Micro-USB (Micro-B) port. Have a cable ready that matches the ports.
- Do not use a USB cable that is designed only for charging a device. Charge-only cables cannot transmit data.
- Only smartphone and tablet models that support USB-PD (Power Delivery) can be recharged. The power supply is 10 W (5 V/2 A).
USB Memory port (USB A)
Connect a commercially available USB flash drive here.
Connecting a USB flash drive lets you play and save songs.
- Never turn off the power or remove the USB flash drives while the access indicator is blinking.
Output jacks (L/Mono, R)
Connect a pair of amplified speakers to hear the sound of the piano through external speakers.
This is useful when you want to hear the sound of this instrument at a louder volume than with the built-in speakers, or when you are performing in a large space.
- For mono output, connect only to the L/Mono jack.
Pedal 1 jack
Connect the included pedal switch here.
This can be used as a damper pedal.
Pedal 2 jack
Connect the dedicated pedal board (KPD-70, sold separately) here. Attach the KPD-70 to the dedicated stand (KSF-40, sold separately) for use.

Pedal operations
Damper pedal (right) | Use this pedal to sustain the sound. While this pedal is held down, notes will be sustained for an extended time even if you release your fingers from the keyboard. The ambience of the sound is affected by how deeply you press the pedal. |
Sostenuto pedal (middle) | When you play a note and then press this pedal before releasing the keys, the sound sustains for only those keys. The effect is not applied to the notes you play after the pedal is pressed. |
Soft pedal (left) | This pedal is used to make the sound softer. Playing with the soft pedal pressed produces a sound that is not as strong as when otherwise played with the equivalent strength. The softness of the tone varies depending on how deeply you press the pedal.
