Changing how the sound is output from the built-in speakers (Speaker Sw)

This shows how to set how the sound comes out of the piano’s built-in speakers.

  1. Press one of the C3–D3 keys while holding down the [Function] button.

A notification sound is heard, and the setting changes.

Explanation

C3 (Off)

No sound is heard from the built-in speakers.

Use this setting when connecting to amplified speakers, a mixer or other equipment.

  • The sound from the built-in speakers is muted, regardless of whether headphones are plugged in.

C´3 (Auto)

The built-in speakers are muted when headphones are plugged in, and the speakers produce sound when you unplug the headphones.

(Default value)

D3 (On)

Sound is always output from the built-in speakers.

Use this setting when you want to hear the sound coming through the built-in speakers while monitoring with headphones.

  • Even when headphones are connected, sound comes out of both the built-in speakers and the headphones.
