Using the tuner

The pitches of six-string guitars and four-string bass guitars are determined using standard tuning.

When tuning a bass guitar, set the [TYPE] knob to “CLEAN” and the [VARIATION] button to ON (the VARIATION indicator lights up).

 

  1. Press the [TUNER/ ġ] button.
  2. The TUNER (É) indicator blinks for about one second.
  4. Play a single note on the open string you want to tune.
    1. Reference pitch: A4 = 440 Hz
    2. If the tuner sensitivity is not good, use the [VOLUME] knob on this unit to raise the volume.
    3. If you’re having trouble tuning an acoustic guitar, set the [VARIATION] button to OFF (the indicator goes dark).
  7. When you have finished tuning, press the [TUNER/ġ] button again.
  8. The TUNER (É) indicator blinks for about one second.
