Loading an effect into the PX-1

Connecting the PX-1 to the BOSS EFFECT LOADER app via Bluetooth

  1. Turn on the PX-1.
  2. Press the center knob on the PX-1.
  3. The MENU (SELECT EFFECT) screen appears.
  5. Press the right knob.
  6. The MENU (BLUETOOTH) screen appears.
  8. If necessary, turn the center knob on the PX-1 to set the Bluetooth ID.

    If you’re using more than one PX-1, you can make the unit easier to identify by turning the center knob and changing the BLUETOOTH ID.

  11. Turn the left knob on the PX-1 to turn the SW on.
  12. The unit enters connection standby mode (the icon below CONNECT blinks).
  13. Connection standby mode remains active for one minute, and is canceled after that time. Once canceled, you must enter connection standby mode again if you want to connect to the app.
  15. Launch the BOSS EFFECT LOADER app and log in.
  16. The BLUETOOTH SETUP screen appears.

  17. MEMO

    The BLUETOOTH SETUP screen might not appear, depending on the settings. If the BLUETOOTH SETUP screen does not appear, connect from MY DEVICE in SYSTEM.

  18. Connect the PX-1 from the BOSS EFFECT LOADER app.
  19. The connection is established when the PX-1 appears at the top of the screen.

MEMO

If more than one unit is detected, a list of devices is shown. Tap the device to which you want to connect.

 

Loading to and selecting with the PX-1

  1. Tap the effect that you want to load or select.
  3. Tap “Install” or “Select”.
  5. Never turn off the power before the loading is complete.
  6. Once the data is loaded, press the center knob on the PX-1.
  7. Bluetooth connection is automatically disconnected, and the screen returns to normal.
