DD-2

The DD-2 is the first digital long delay in a compact effect unit format. Delay times (12.5–800 msec) and frequency characteristics (40 Hz–7 kHz, +1/-3 dB) that were unheard of in previous compact analog delays are now possible.

Parameter

Value

Explanation

1

E.LEVEL

0–100

Adjusts the volume when the effect is used.

When this is set to maximum, the delay and direct sounds are the same volume.

When this is set to minimum, only the normal sound is output when connecting in mono, and the output from the main outs is set to “0” when connecting in stereo.

F.BACK

0–100

Adjusts the delay repeats.

D.TIME

0–100, BPM

Fine-tunes the delay time. The delay time changes continuously from 0.25 to 1 time the value set for the mode.

  • You can select ņ for the BPM in any mode (the time is set as appropriate, regardless of the mode).
  • When this is set to “BPM”, you can check the tempo by watching the CHECK indicator blink, or by checking the BPM parameter.

2

MODE

S.50ms, M.200ms, L.800ms, HOLD

Switches the mode.

In HOLD mode, you can use the D.TIME setting to change the hold time within a range of 200–800 msec.

BPM

40–250

Adjusts the tempo if “BPM” is selected for D.TIME.

  • This is only shown when D.TIME is set to “BPM”.

CARRYOVER

OFF, ON

Specifies whether the effect sound is carried over (ON) or not carried over (OFF) when you turn off the effect.

3

OUTPUT

STEREO, DRY/EFFECT

Specifies the output mode.

STEREO: The direct (dry) sound is mixed with the effect (wet) sound, and output from the OUTPUT A (MONO) and OUTPUT B jacks.

DRY/EFFECT: The effect (wet) sound is output from the OUTPUT A (MONO) jack, and the direct (dry) sound is output from the OUTPUT B jack.

4

CTL1 TARGET

OFF, E.LEVEL, F.BACK, D.TIME, TAP

Selects the parameter to control from a footswitch connected to CTL1.

The TIME range for the tap operation is 133–800 ms. The BPM range is 70–300.

  • Tap operations are disabled when there is an external MIDI input.
  • Tap operations are disabled when MODE is HOLD.

CTL1 MODE

MOMENT, TOGGLE

Selects the operation mode for the footswitch that’s connected to CTL1.

  • This is not shown when CTL1 TARGET is set to “TAP”.

CTL1 VALUE

0–100, BPM

Sets the value for the parameter that’s controlled from a footswitch connected to CTL1.

  • This is not shown when CTL1 TARGET is set to “TAP”.

5

CTL2 TARGET

OFF, E.LEVEL, F.BACK, D.TIME, TAP

Selects the parameter to control from a footswitch connected to CTL2.

The TIME range for the tap operation is 133–800 ms. The BPM range is 70–300.

  • Tap operations are disabled when there is an external MIDI input.

CTL2 MODE

MOMENT, TOGGLE

Selects the operation mode for the footswitch connected to CTL2.

  • This is not shown when CTL2 TARGET is set to “TAP”.

CTL2 VALUE

0–100, BPM

Selects the value for the parameter that’s controlled from a footswitch connected to CTL2.

  • This is not shown when CTL2 TARGET is set to “TAP”.

6

EXP TARGET

OFF, E.LEVEL, F.BACK, D.TIME

Sets the parameter controlled by an expression pedal connected to EXP.

EXP MIN

0–100, BPM

Sets the minimum value for the parameter controlled by an expression pedal connected to EXP.

EXP MAX

0–100, BPM

Sets the maximum value for the parameter controlled by an expression pedal connected to EXP.

7

PEDAL MODE

MOMENT, TOGGLE

Selects the operation mode for the pedal switch on the PX-1.

  • When MODE is HOLD, only MOMENT is available.
  • When PEDAL MODE is set to “TOGGLE”, you can long-press to use tap input.

ACTION

OFF Ó ON, ON Ó OFF

Sets how the pedal switch on this unit operates when PEDAL MODE is set to “MOMENT”.
