DM-2

A longtime player’s favorite, the DM-2 was the first BOSS analog delay in the compact pedal lineup. Its retro BBD circuit delivers dark delays that become more saturated with each repeat, producing organic ambience that blends beautifully with the unprocessed sound. Turning up the Intensity knob drives the effect into gritty self-oscillation for expressive textures.

1	REPEAT RATE	0–100, BPM (1/32-2/1)	Adjusts the delay time. Turn clockwise to shorten the delay time, and turn counterclockwise to lengthen the delay time. When this is set to “BPM”, you can check the tempo by watching the CHECK indicator blink, or by checking the BPM parameter.
	ECHO	0–100	Adjusts the volume of the delay sound. Turn this clockwise to increase the delay sound. Turn this all the way counterclockwise to hear only the direct sound.
	INTENSITY	0–100	Adjusts the number of delay repeats. Turn the knob clockwise to increase the number of delay repeats. Turn the knob all the way counterclockwise for a single delay. You may hear feedback if you turn the knob too far clockwise.

	BPM	40–250	You can only adjust the tempo if “BPM” is selected for REPEAT RATE. If the tempo data is being received via the MIDI IN jack, you cannot adjust the tempo using the PX-1.
	CARRYOVER	OFF, ON	Specifies whether the effect sound is carried over (ON) or not carried over (OFF) when you turn off the effect.
3	CTL1 TARGET	OFF, REPEAT RATE, ECHO, INTENSIY, TAP	Selects the parameter to control from a footswitch connected to CTL1.
	CTL1 MODE	MOMENT, TOGGLE	Selects the operation mode for the footswitch that’s connected to CTL1.
	CTL1 VALUE	0–100	Sets the value for the parameter that’s controlled from a footswitch connected to CTL1.
4	CTL2 TARGET	OFF, REPEAT RATE, ECHO, INTENSIY, TAP	Selects the parameter to control from a footswitch connected to CTL2.
	CTL2 MODE	MOMENT, TOGGLE	Selects the operation mode for the footswitch connected to CTL2.
	CTL2 VALUE	0–100	Selects the value for the parameter that’s controlled from a footswitch connected to CTL2.
5	EXP TARGET	OFF, REPEAT RATE, ECHO, INTENSIY	Selects the parameter controlled by an external expression pedal connected to the EXP jack.
	EXP MIN	0–100	Sets the minimum value for the parameter controlled by an expression pedal connected to the EXP jack.
	EXP MAX	0–100	Sets the maximum value for the parameter controlled by an expression pedal connected to the EXP jack.
6	PEDAL MODE	MOMENT, TOGGLE	Selects the operation mode for the pedal switch on the PX-1.
	ACTION	OFF Ó ON, ON Ó OFF	Sets how the pedal switch on this unit operates when PEDAL MODE is set to “MOMENT”.
