Recording effect operations to a pattern (EFX MOTION REC)

Here’s how to record your effect on/off and effect parameter ([CTRL 1]–[CTRL 3] knob) operations to a pattern in real time.

  1. Press the [PATTERN SELECT] button.
  2. Pads to which patterns are assigned light up purple.
  3. Press pads [1]–[16] to select the pattern to which you want to record the effect operations.
  4. This plays back the pattern.
  5. Press the [REC] button.
  6. The pattern begins recording in real time.
  7. Press the [MARK] button.
  8. The message “MOTION REC START” is shown (EFX MOTION REC).
  9. The effect operations now begin recording.
  10. Operate the effects along with the pattern performance.
  11. Your effect operations are recorded to the pattern.
  12. Once you finish recording, press the [EXIT] button.
  13. The same effect operations you made when recording are played back along with the pattern (EFX MOTION PLAY).

MEMO

Use the [START/END] button to enable/disable playback of the effect operations you recorded.
