Deck section

This section is used for controlling the two decks (deck 1 on the left, and deck 2 on the right).

Explanation

Play/Pause

Pad [13]

Pad [15]

Plays/pauses the song.

Play from the Top

[SHIFT] button + Pad [13]

[SHIFT] button + Pad [15]

Returns to the beginning of the song and continues playback.

SYNC

Pad [10]

Pad [12]

Automatically syncs the song’s tempo (pitch).

Disable SYNC

[SHIFT] button + Pad [10]

[SHIFT] button + Pad [12]

Cancels the sync function.

Temp Cue

Pad [9]

Pad [11]

Specifies, plays back and recalls the temporary cue point.

When you first press the pad [9] or [11] after switching to a song for playback, a temporary cue point is set.

Press the pad [9] or [11] after making the settings to move to the temporary cue point.

Delete Temp Cue

[SHIFT] button + Pad [9]

[SHIFT] button + Pad [11]

Deletes the temporary cue point that you set.

Fast Forward

[SHIFT] button + Pad [1]

[SHIFT] button + Pad [3]

Plays back fast-forward.

Rewind

[SHIFT] button + Pad [5]

[SHIFT] button + Pad [7]

Plays back in rewind.

Pitch Bend Up

Pad [1]

Pad [3]

Lets you perform pitch bend operations.

Pitch Bend Down

Pad [5]

Pad [7]

Lets you perform pitch bend operations.

Select Pitch Range

[SHIFT] button + Pad [2]

[SHIFT] button + Pad [4]

Sets the amount of change when you operate the tempo. The amount of change is changed as follows each time you press the buttons.

Tempo Increase

When key lock function is ON: Playback speed increases.

When key lock function is OFF: Playback speed and pitch increases.

Tempo Decrease

When key lock function is ON: Playback speed decreases.

When key lock function is OFF: Playback speed and pitch decreases.

Toggle Keylock

[SHIFT] button + Pad [6]

[SHIFT] button + Pad [8]

Turns the key lock function on/off, which fixes the pitch.

Cue

Pad [14]

Pad [16]

Turns the cue on/off. The audio of the deck for which pad [14] or [16] is lit is output to headphones.

REVERSE

[REVERSE] button + Pad [13]

[REVERSE] button + Pad [15]

Plays in reverse. When you press the buttons again, the audio plays back in reverse from that position.

Censor

[REVERSE] button + Pad [9]

[REVERSE] button + Pad [11]

Reverse playback continues while you press the [REVERSE] button and pad [9]/[11]. Once you take your fingers off the button and pad, playback skips ahead (“snaps back”) to the point equal to the amount of time that playback was reversed.
