PEDAL CTRL 1 jack

Connect a pedal switch or damper pedal (DP series, sold separately), a pedal unit (RPU-3, sold separately) or an expression pedal (EV series, sold separately) here.
If you connect a DP series pedal switch to the HOLD/R jack, you can use it as a damper pedal.
You can also assign various functions to the pedals that are connected to the CTRL 1, CTRL 2/L, and CTRL 3/C jacks.

  • Use only the specified expression pedal. Connecting any other expression pedals may cause the unit to malfunction or become damaged.

Use these connectors for connecting to MIDI devices and transferring performance data.

USB COMPUTER port (USB Type-C®)

Connect this to your computer to transfer performance data and audio signals.

  • Do not use a USB cable that is designed only for charging. Charge-only cables cannot transmit data.

USB MEMORY port (USB A)

Connect a commercially available USB flash drive here.

  • Note that not all commercially available USB flash drives are guaranteed to work.
  • Never turn off the power or disconnect the USB flash drive while a progress bar is shown on the screen.

EXTERNAL DEVICE 1 port

Connect your external USB MIDI devices here.

These ports are compatible with the A-49 and A-PRO series.

  • Generic MIDI devices are not guaranteed to work when connected.

MAIN OUT BALANCED L/MONO jack (1/4-inch phone type)

These are balanced output jacks for audio signals.
Connect these to your amp or similar equipment. If you’re outputting in mono, connect to the L/MONO jack.
