Adjusting the tonal character of each pad (PAD EQ)

Here’s how to adjust the tonal character (pad equalizer) for each pad.

Ø For details on the parameters that can be edited, refer to “Data List” (Roland website).

  1. Press the [MENU] button.
  2. Use the cursor buttons to select “KIT EDIT” Ó “PAD EQ”, and press the [ENTER] button.
  3. The PAD EQ screen appears.
  5. Select the pad to configure.

  7. Press the [F1] (PadEQ) button to switch the pad equalizer on/off.
  8. Change the pad equalizer settings.
  9. You can configure the settings for the head and rim separately.

  10. MEMO

    Press the [F6] (RESET EQ) button to restore the equalizer settings to their default values.

  11. Press the [KIT] button to return to the KIT screen.
