Exposed Network Interfaces
This product includes the following network interfaces in factory default state.
- USB-Host (USB A): Communication functionality with Roland compatible products.
- USB Function (USB Type-C®): Communication functionality with smartphones and computers.
- Wi-Fi (IEEE 802.11 b/g/n 2.4 GHz): Provides internet connection functionality. Wi-Fi communication does not start without performing Wi-Fi Setup.
- Bluetooth LE (5.0) in Wi-Fi Module: Provides communication functionality with smartphones and computers. Disabled when not in Wi-Fi Setup mode.
- Bluetooth LE (5.0): Communication functionality with smartphones and computers.
- MIDI Connectors: Communication functionality with MIDI compatible devices.
- SD Card Slot: Save and load files via SD card.
Exposed Services
The following services are accessible via network interfaces in factory default state.
The following services are accessible via USB Host in normal operation mode.
- Communication of performance data and other data with Roland compatible products.
The following services are accessible via USB Function in normal operation mode.
- USB AUDIO / MIDI: Communicates with application on smartphones and computers.
- USB CDC: Communicates with a dedicated application.
The following services are accessible via Bluetooth LE (5.0) in Wi-Fi module only in Wi-Fi Setup mode.
- Bluetooth LE Advertising: A feature for Wi-Fi Setup.
- Bluetooth LE Custom GATT Profile: A feature for Wi-Fi Setup. It communicates with Roland Cloud Connect running on a smartphone.
The following services are accessible via Wi-Fi in normal operation mode.
- HTTP/MQTT Client over TLS, Port 443, TLS Version 1.2: Used to exchange commands and contents from/to Roland Cloud.
- Firmware Update Service: Provides firmware over-the-air (OTA) updates for functional enhancements and security updates.
The following services are accessible via Bluetooth LE (5.0).
- A2DP Classic Audio, AVRCP, MIDI over Bluetooth Low Energy: Communicates with applications on smartphones and computers.
The following services are accessible via MIDI connectors.
- MIDI 1.0: Communication of performance data.
The following services are accessible via SD card.
- Data backup, firmware update, data import, etc.
