Backing up drum kit to an SD card (SAVE 1 KIT)

Here’s how settings of an individual drum kit stored in the V71 can be backed up to an SD card (up to 999 drum kits).

  1. Insert the SD card into the V71.
  2. ØSide panel and front panel
  3. Press the [BACKUP] button.
  4. Use the cursor buttons or the dial to select “SAVE 1 KIT” and press the [ENTER] button.
  5. The SD CARD SAVE 1 KIT screen appears.
  6. Configure the backup.

  8. Value select: use [-] [+] buttons or dial

    Explanation

    Backup Kit

    Select the drum kit that you want to back up.

    With User Samples

    Selects whether user samples are also backed up.

    Backup Number

    Selects the backup number.

  10. * If you back up user samples as well, it may take several minutes to save the data depending on the size of the user samples.
  11. * If you don’t back up the user samples, and you then delete the user samples in this unit or renumber them, the drum kit is not reproduced correctly even if you load the backup.
  12. Press the [F6] (SAVE) button.
  13. A confirmation message appears.
  14. If you decide to cancel, select “CANCEL” and press the [ENTER] button.
  15. Select “OK” and press the [ENTER] button.
  16. The kit backup data is saved on the SD card.
  17. Press the [ENTER] button to finish the operation.
