This in an example of how to pair a WT-10 to which a cymbal is connected, with a DH-10 connected to the SPD-SX PRO.

  1. Select [MENU] Ó “SYSTEM”.
  2. Use the cursor [à] [á] [ã] [â] buttons to select “PAD/TRIG IN” and press the [ENTER] button.
  3. The PAD / TRIG IN screen appears.
  4. Press the [F6] (DrumLink) button.
  5. The DrumLink screen appears.
  6. Press the [F1] (HUB) button.
  7. The DrumLink - HUB screen appears.
  8. Press the [F5] (PAIRING) button.
  9. Pairing mode turns on.
  10. MEMO

Once it is turned on, the pairing mode turns off after 15 seconds.

  11. Strike the cymbal once.
  12. MEMO

When pairing, use a stick and strike the cymbal fairly hard. Also, when pairing with a cymbal, strike the edge to make pairing easier, as the sensitivity is greater.

  13. Pairing begins.
The pad image on the right side of the DrumLink - HUB screen (default settings: PDX-8 drum pad) is shown when the SPD-SX PRO is paired with the pad (cymbal).
  14. MEMO

If you can’t pair the devices (the pad image does not display), refer to “Troubleshooting”.

  15. To access the pad settings screen after pairing, press the [EXIT] button and then one of the [F2] (BASIC)–[F4] (OPT/ADV) buttons.

NOTE

The parameters for each pad are not stored on theSPD-SX PRO, but are stored in the WT-10 (Wireless Trigger Adapter).

Note that just changing a parameter does not apply the setting to the WT-10. You must strike the applicable pad to apply the setting.

MEMO

  1. Once paired, the pairing information for each WT-10 (Wireless Trigger Adapter) is saved on the DH-10 (DrumLink Hub). The units automatically pair when you restart the SPD-SX PRO or connect the DrumLink™ hub to a different SPD-SX PRO, so there’s no need to pair manually.
  2. Although pairing is not necessary after restarting this unit, you must strike the pad you want to set once to make it show up on the pad settings screen.
  3. The SPD-SX PRO supports connection of up to 17 pads (the nine pads on this unit plus eight pads connected to the TRIGGER IN jacks).
