Turning the power on/off

  1. Long-press the [Ā] button.

MEMO

The tones and other data are restored to the factory settings when you turn off the power.

You can save settings for tones and so forth by setting the memory backup.

Adjusting the volume

  1. Use the two volume buttons to adjust the volume.
  2. [ć] button: Raises the volume.
  3. [Ć] button: Lowers the volume.

 

Selecting a tone

  1. Press a tone button.
  2. This changes the tone.
  3. Press the C2–A2 keys while holding down a tone button.
  4. This changes the tone variation.

Layering two different tones (dual)

  1. Press the two buttons at the same time of the tones you want to layer.

 

Adjusting the mix balance between two tones (dual mix balance)

  1. Hold down the lit tone button and press a key from F5 to G5.

 

Playing different tones with the left and right hands (split)

With Roland Piano App, you can divide the keyboard into different regions and select a different tone for each.

Recording what you play

Follow the steps below to record a song.

  1. Press the [ó] button.
  2. The [ó] button lights, the [ò] button blinks, and the piano enters record-standby mode.
  3. If you decide to cancel recording, press the [ó] button again.
  4. Play the keyboard to start recording.
  5. Recording starts automatically once you start playing.
  6. Press the [ò] button to stop recording.

MEMO

Press the [ò] button again to play back what you recorded.

 

Recording with the metronome

Start the metronome beforehand and set the time signature and tempo.

When you press the [ò] button in step 2 of “Recording what you play”, a one-measure count sounds and recording starts.

 

If you want to redo the recording

Redo the recording from step 1 in “Recording what you play”.

 

Playing the internal songs or a recorded song

  1. Press the [ò] button to play back or stop a song.

 

Playing back the internal songs

  1. Press a key from C2 to A2 while holding down the [ò] button.
  2. The selected song plays.

Playing a recorded song

  1. Press the C4 key while holding down the [ò] button.
  2. The recorded song plays back.

 

Adjusting the volume of the internal songs (song volume)

  1. Press a key from C5 to D5 while holding down the [ò] button.

MEMO

The song volume setting has no effect on the songs you record.

 

Using the metronome

  1. Press the [Ċ] button.
  2. The metronome turns on and starts playing.
  3. To turn it off, press the [Ċ] button again.

 

Changing the tempo

You can change the tempo by inputting a numeric value (5–300).

  1. Hold down the [Ċ] button, press the corresponding key (C2–A2) and then press [ENTER] (A´2).
  2. Example: To enter “120”, press “1” Ó “2” Ó “0” Ó “ENTER” while holding down the [Ċ] button.
  3. ØMetronome” (Enter tempo numerically)

 

Changing the time signature

You can change the beat (time signature) of the metronome.

  1. Press the F5–B5 keys while holding down the [Ċ] button.

Playing rhythm patterns

  1. Press the C6–C7 keys while holding down the [Ċ] button.
  2. ØMetronome” (Rhythm pattern)

MEMO

To return to the normal metronome sound, hold down the [Ċ] button and press one of the F5–B5 keys to select a time signature.

 

Configuring the functions

  1. Press the key corresponding to the desired function while holding down the [Ĉ] button.
