Pairing
You can make settings for using the piano together with an app that’s installed on your mobile device.
As an example, we’ll explain the steps for using your iPad with the Roland Piano App.
- When you use the piano with the app, you don’t need to make any settings on the piano. Operate the app to pair it with the piano.
- Activate Bluetooth in the settings of your mobile device.
NOTE
If the name of the device you’re using (such as “KF-20/KF-25 MIDI”) is shown in the “Devices” field, do not tap it.
If you tap it by mistake, check this information: “If you can’t connect”.
- Launch the app that you installed on your mobile device.
- Tap “Connect to the piano”.
- Tap “KF-20/KF-25 MIDI” (the name of the device that you’re using).
- If “Bluetooth Pairing Request” appears, tap “Pair”.
- The piano and mobile device are paired. When pairing is completed, a display like the following appears.
Mobile device | “Connecting to KF-20/KF-25 MIDI” is shown in the connection status area at the top of the app screen |
Piano | The [Ċ] (Ġ) button lights up |
This completes the settings.
MEMO
If you are connecting to a mobile device that has already been configured with the default settings in Bluetooth MIDI, the connection is made automatically when you start the app. The connection may take several seconds.
If the device doesn’t connect, tap “Connection Status” at the top of the app screen, and tap “Connect to Piano”.
