Setup

Download the Koala Sampler app beforehand on your mobile device (iOS/iPadOS/Android OS).

1. Connect the SP-404MK2 and your mobile device using a USB cable.

• If you have an iPhone with a Lightning terminal, please connect it using an Apple USB adapter (Lightning - USB Camera Adapter, Lightning - USB 3 Camera Adapter).

1. Turn on the power of the SP-404MK2.

1. Launch the Koala Sampler app.
   

   When you launch Koala Sampler, it will automatically detect the SP-404MK2 and display “SP-404MKII CONNECTED“ at the top of Koala Sampler's screen.

   
   
   The screen that’s shown below appears on the SP-404MK2 at this time, and the unit operates in “Koala Controller Mode".
   

• If the unit does not enter Koala Controller Mode, check the version of Koala Sampler.
  This mode works with Koala Sampler Ver.1.4082 or higher.
