    Explanation

    [TONE SELECT] knob

    The indicators above the knob light up according to the tone category that’s selected.

    TINE: An electric piano that was frequently used in the 1970s.

    REED: An electric piano that appeared in the 1960s and was used extensively in styles like rock and R&B.

    DIGITAL: other electric pianos

    CLAVINET: clavinet

    When you press the [TONE SELECT] knob:

    The TONE LIST screen is shown.

    [DETUNE] knob

    Turn the knob clockwise for a greater detuning effect.

    [SOUND LIFT] knob

    Changes how the sound plays when you play the keyboard lightly. Turn the knob clockwise to play the sound at a certain level even when you’re playing lightly. This makes it easier for your playing to be heard when you’re performing with a band.

    • Changing the value has no effect on how the tone changes according to velocity.

    Explanation

    [CTRL 1] knob

    The effects of the knobs change according to the type you select.

    [CTRL 2] knob

    [CTRL 3] knob

    [ON/OFF] button

    When you press this button to make it light up, the MFX is applied.

    • Turning the knob may not produce a noticeable result with certain effects.

    When you press this while holding down the [SHIFT] button:

    Switches between MFX types. The indicators above the button light up according to the type that’s selected.

    CHORUS: chorus and flanger effect

    PHASER: phaser and rotary effect

    WAH: wah effect

    DELAY: delay and echo effect

    LO-FI: lo-fi effect

    Other: Other effect (default value: COMP)

  5. TREMOLO
  6. Applies a tremolo effect (cyclically modulating the volume).

    Explanation

    [DEPTH] knob

    Turn the knob clockwise for a deeper modulation effect.

    [RATE] knob

    Turn the knob clockwise to speed up the modulation cycle.

    [TEMPO SYNC] button

    When you press this button to make it light up, the tremolo cycle is synchronized to the tempo.

    [ON/OFF] button

    When you press this button to make it light up, the tremolo effect is applied.

    Switches between tremolo types. The indicators above the button light up according to the type that’s selected.

    CASE: This type is suitable in combination with TINE E.PIANO.

    WURLY: This type is suitable in combination with REED E.PIANO.

  9. Simulates the tonal characteristics of playing through an amp built for musical instruments.
  10. Name

    Explanation

    [DRIVE] knob

    Turn the knob clockwise for more distortion.

    [TREBLE] knob

    Adjusts the high-frequency tonal character.

    [BASS] knob

    Adjusts the low-frequency tonal character.

    [ON/OFF] button

    When you press this button to make it light up, the amp simulator is applied.

    When you press this while holding down the [SHIFT] button:

    Selects the type of amp simulator. The indicators above the button light up according to the type that’s selected.

    CASE: This type is suitable in combination with TINE E.PIANO.

    WURLY: This type is suitable in combination with REED E.PIANO.

    G.AMP (both indicators lit): simulates a guitar amp

    LINE (both indicators dark): sound outputted via LINE

Explanation

[LEVEL] knob

Adjusts the part volume.

When turned while you hold down the [SHIFT] button:

Adjusts the part pan.

[ON/OFF] button

When you press this button to make it light up, the part turns on.

When you press this while holding down the [SHIFT] button:

Configures the MIDI output settings for the parts.

SPLIT [LEFT]/[RIGHT] buttons

Splits this part for performance. ØDividing the keyboard into two regions (split)

OCTAVE [DOWN] / [UP] buttons

Changes the key range for the part. ØRaising/lowering a part’s key range in octaves

KEY TOUCH [SELECT] button

Changes the playing feel (touch) of the keyboard. The indicators to the left of the button light up according to the type that’s selected.

H: Heavier key touch

M: Standard key touch

L: Lighter key touch

  • This changes the key touch that’s configured in the system parameters.
