Using a custom background image for the KIT screen (kit image)

You can import an image to use as the background image for the KIT screen of the V51. This is useful when you want to make your own drum kit easier to select. The background image can be imported via an SD card or the V51 Editor.

Image file format that can be imported: .png

  1. Save the image file you want to use as the background to an SD card.
  2. Insert the SD card into the V51.
  3. Select “KIT OPTION” on the KIT OTHERS screen, and then press the [ENTER] button.
  4. Press the [F4] (KIT VIEW) button.
  5. The KIT OPTION - KIT VIEW screen appears.
  7. Move the cursor to Kit Image, and use the [-] [+] buttons or the dial to select “ON”.

    When this is set to “GLOBAL”, the settings made in OPTIONÓKIT VIEW (GLOBAL) for the common kit image for the V51 overall are used.

  9. Press the [F6] (IMG IMPORT) button.
  10. Use the cursor buttons to select an image file, and press the [F6] (IMPORT) button.

  12. Press the [F6] (IMPORT) button.
  13. A confirmation message appears.
  15. If you decide to cancel, select “CANCEL” and press the [ENTER] button.
  16. Select “OK” and press the [ENTER] button.
  17. The image file is imported.
  18. Press the [KIT] button to return to the KIT screen.
