Assigning functions to pads

You can assign functions to the pads connected to the TRIGGER IN 13 and 14 jacks (AUX3/4), or to a pad that supports digital connection that’s assigned to AUX3/4.

  1. Press the [SETUP] button.
  2. Use the cursor buttons to select “CONTROL SETUP”, and press the [ENTER] button.
  3. Press the [F2] (PAD CTRL) button.
  4. The CONTROL SETUP - PAD CONTROL screen appears.
  6. Use the cursor buttons to select a parameter, and use the [-] [+] buttons or the dial to edit the value.

  7. MEMO

    1. If you don’t want sound to be produced when you strike the pad, set the AUX3 and AUX4 volumes to “-INF” in MIXER VOLUME.

      You can also press the [INSTRUMENT] button and set the instruments of AUX3 and AUX4 for all layers to “OFF”.

      If SNARE BUZZÓSnare Buzz Sense is set to “1–12”, set it to “OFF” instead.

    2. If you want to switch drum kits in the set list with a pad, set the pad’s assigned function to “KIT# DEC” or “KIT# INC”, and then press the [SET LIST] button to make it light. (Make the set list settings in advance.)

  8. Press the [KIT] button to return to the KIT screen.
