Select the parameters to assign to the DMX channels.
Set the parameters so that the function that the VC-1-DMX controls (data type) matches the function on the DMX-compatible equipment (lighting equipment) you’re using.
When you select a data type, the setting parameter is shown that corresponds to that function.
Data type parameter |
Setting parameter |
Explanation |
|
---|---|---|---|
Fixed Value |
Outputs a fixed value. |
||
Value |
Sets the value to output. |
||
Master Dimmer |
- |
Outputs the Master Dimmer value set in “Realtime Parameter”. |
|
Red Green Blue Amber Yellow Purple Cyan White |
This analyzes the video in the region specified by “Area”, and outputs the intensity of each color. |
||
Area |
Selects the video region to analyze. For details, refer to “Area parameters”. |
||
Ratio |
Sets the ratio for the value to output in respect to the video analysis results. |
||
MIDI (Note) |
This converts the velocity values of note-on messages received by the MIDI IN connector, to be output as DMX-compatible data. “0” is output when a note-off message is received. |
||
Value Offset | Adds the Value Offset value to the velocity value of the note-on/note-off messages received, and outputs the result. | ||
Value Gain | Multiplies the velocity value of the note-on/note-off messages received times the Value Gain value, and outputs the result. | ||
Channel | Sets which MIDI channel is used for receiving. | ||
Note Number | Sets the note number of the note-on/note-off messages received. | ||
MIDI (CC) |
This converts the control change message values received by the MIDI IN connector, to be output as DMX-compatible data. |
||
Value Offset | Adds the Value Offset value to the control change messages received, and outputs the result. |
||
Value Gain | Multiplies the value of the control change message received times the Value Gain value, and outputs the result. | ||
Channel | Sets which MIDI channel is used for receiving. | ||
Control Change | Sets the control number for control change messages to be received. | ||
Red (Pickup 3 Color) Green (Pickup 3 Color) Blue (Pickup 3 Color) |
This extracts only three characteristic colors from the video region specified in “Area”, as red, green and blue. |
||
Area | Selects the video region to analyze. For details, refer to “Area parameters”. |
||
Ratio | Sets the ratio for the value to output in respect to the video analysis results. |
||
Red (Pickup 4 Color) Green (Pickup 4 Color) Blue (Pickup 4 Color) White (Pickup 4 Color) |
This extracts only four characteristic colors from the video region specified in “Area”, as red, green, blue and white. |
||
Area |
Selects the video region to analyze. For details, refer to “Area parameters”. |
||
Ratio | Sets the ratio for the value to output in respect to the video analysis results. | ||
Rotate Speed |
Outputs a value corresponding to the tempo that was set (or the tempo that the VC-1-DMX detected). |
||
Min. Speed | Sets the value (minimum) that’s output when the tempo is the slowest (BPM = 20). | ||
Max. Speed | Sets the value (maximum) that’s output when the tempo is the fastest (BPM = 250). |
Assignment map
The colors are lit up on the assignment map according to the data type assigned to each DMX channel.
