Using the effects

You can use the built-in effects on the SP-404MK2 to process the audio in unique ways.

Use the effects by assigning them to a bus (an audio routing inside the SP-404MK2).

For BUS 1 and BUS 2, you can access the effects in real-time performance by using the six effect buttons and the three knobs ([CTRL 1]–[CTRL 3]).
ÓAdding effects (BUS FX)

With BUS 3 and BUS 4, which are placed later in the signal chain, you can mainly use the effects as master effects for shaping the overall mix.

Bus routings

The samples and external input signals (INPUT, LINE IN) that play back on the SP-404MK2 are input to BUS 1, BUS 2 or the DRY bus, depending on the settings.
ÓAssigning each sample to a bus
ÓConfiguring the output destination for external input

You can switch the connections for BUS 1 and BUS 2 between serial (TYPE A) and parallel (TYPE B).
ÓConfiguring the bus routing

BUS 1 and BUS 2 are connected to BUS 3 and BUS 4 as a serial connection.

The output destination for the DRY bus can be placed either after BUS 4 or before BUS 3.
