When you load kit backup data into this unit that you downloaded from Roland Cloud, the Roland Cloud license data is saved on the SPD-SX PRO.
Restoring this unit as shown below resets all of this license and kit backup data that you loaded, as well as your user samples and everything else to the factory default settings.
Restoring the Factory Settings
Once you execute the following steps, all the data in the SPD-SX PRO is overwritten. Be sure to save any important data to a USB flash drive before doing this. |
Creating a USB flash drive for updating
Download and decompress the factory default settings data (SPD-SX PRO FACTORY RESTORE DATA) from the Web page listed below.
Insert your USB flash drive into the USB port of the computer.
Copy the “Roland” folder that you decompressed in step 1 to the root directory of the USB flash drive (the directory that opens immediately when you open the drive).
Copy the entire “Roland” folder, not just the contents.
Follow the instructions below to remove the USB flash drive from your computer.
For Windows users:
Click the “Remove Hardware” icon shown on the taskbar at the lower right corner of the screen to disconnect (eject) the USB flash drive, and then remove it from the computer. For Mac users:
Drag and drop the icon for the USB flash drive into the Trash. Once the connection to the USB flash drive has been severed, unplug the drive from your computer.
