The Setting Assistant is a template that contains predefined settings.

The Setting Assistant is shown the first time you launch the GO:PODCAST app and tap “Start”.

It’s easy to configure the settings by using the Setting Assistant, even if it’s the first time you’ve used this app.


  1. Select the orientation (landscape or portrait) that you want to use for streaming/recording video.

    The app screen layout changes according to the video orientation.

    You may need to relaunch the GO:PODCAST app if you’ve changed the screen orientation.

  2. Select whether to stream or record.

    When using YouTube Live, Facebook Live or Twitch, you can log in using the GO:PODCAST app to easily configure the livestream settings.

    After you’ve logged in to the respective streaming services, the parameters are automatically set as shown below.

  3. Select a preset.

    You can choose the preset you like according to your use case and situation.

    Preset name

    Explanation

    Just Chatting (1 camera)

    Uses the camera of the smartphone that’s running the GO:PODCAST app.

    This setting is recommended for easy streaming of general conversations and the like.

    Just Chatting (2 cameras)

    Uses the camera of the smartphone that’s running the GO:PODCAST app, along with the camera from one more smartphone (satellite camera).

    This setting is recommended for shooting the person streaming the video along with what’s around them, or for shooting a different image besides the person streaming the video.

    Gaming (Only Screen)

    Use this setting to stream the video of a game you’re playing that’s installed on a smartphone (satellite camera).

    You can use this setting to avoid showing the face of the person streaming the content.

    Gaming (Camera + Screen)

    Use this setting to stream the video of a game you’re playing that’s installed on a smartphone (satellite camera).

    In this case, the video image from camera 1 of the person streaming the video is composited above the video image of the game.

    PODCAST (1 camera)

    Use this setting to stream the video from a satellite camera.

    This lets you stream while switching on the GO:PODCAST app between the background music or title.

    PODCAST (2 cameras)

    Uses the camera of the smartphone that’s running the GO:PODCAST app, along with the camera from one more smartphone (satellite camera).

    Recommended for streaming of conversations with the person streaming the video.

    You can also use the auto-switching function to switch between cameras.

    If you’ve selected a preset that uses a satellite camera, you can add a second smartphone as a video source.

If you want to show the Setting Assistant the second time you launch the GO:PODCAST app and afterwards, follow the steps below.

  1. Tap the menu button on the main screen.

  2. Tap the “Help” menu.
  3. Tap “Setting Assistant”.

    The Setting Assistant screen appears.

    Note that you can’t set the orientation of the streamed/recorded video from this screen.
